About Me

I’m Sandy Heyer, a certified Diversity Manager and Trainer, supporting organizations on their journey toward greater diversity, equity, and genuine inclusion – with a clear focus on structures, processes, and the people who shape them.

My path into diversity work began right in the heart of everyday corporate life – where structures have an impact and change must not only be desired, but actively enabled. These experiences continue to shape my approach and work today.

What I’m passionate about? Mental health and psychological safety in the workplace. Because mental health, for me, is a central topic – not only in the context of diversity, but as a fundamental prerequisite for a healthy, inclusive work environment. I support organizations in strengthening mental wellbeing at work – with impulses, formats, and strategies that foster psychological safety and create space for open conversations. My many years of experience in internal corporate communications enable me to make these topics resonate across all organizational levels.

Alongside my freelance work, I hold the position as Diversity Manager and Organizational Development Specialist in an international MedTech company. This dual perspective – internal and external – enriches my work and allows for practical, realistic solutions.

What motivates me?
I believe that diversity, equity and inclusion are not „nice-to-haves“ – they are essential foundations for healthy, future-ready organizations.

I’m committed to making these values visible – not just in words, but in structures, cultures and everyday interactions. Because diversity, equity and inclusion are not just topics for HR or communications – they need to be embedded across all levels of an organization.
