About Me
I’m Sandy Heyer, a certified Diversity Manager & Trainer. I support organizations on their journey towards greater diversity, equity, and genuine inclusion – with a clear focus on structures, processes, and the people who shape them.
My path into diversity work began right in the middle of everyday organizational life – where structures have real impact and change must not only be desired, but enabled. These experiences continue to shape my work today.
What am I passionate about?
Mental health and psychological safety in the workplace. For me, mental health is not a marginal topic, but a key prerequisite for healthy, inclusive collaboration. I support organizations in strengthening mental health – through impulses, formats and strategies that foster psychological safety and create space for open dialogue.
My many years of experience in internal corporate communications help me to make these topics accessible and relevant at all organizational levels.
Alongside my freelance work, I am employed full-time at an international MedTech company as a Diversity Manager and Organizational Development Specialist. This dual perspective – internal and external – enables me to deliver practical, realistic solutions.
What drives me?
My conviction that diversity, equity and inclusion are not “nice-to-haves”, but fundamental prerequisites for healthy, future-ready organizations. These values must be visible – not only in words, but in structures, lived culture and everyday interactions. DEI is not solely an HR or communications topic; it must be embedded across all levels of an organization.
With practical solutions, a clear understanding of individual challenges and without pointing fingers, I support organizations in making these topics tangible and effective.
